Rib Lath Formwork Structure Product Information
Cement pouring formwork structures often utilize rib lath (also known as rib mesh or expanded metal lath) as a reinforcement and support system.
When the concrete is poured behind the formwork, the raised part of the mesh opening is embedded in the concrete, creating a mechanical wedge that connects to the neighbouring pouring block, creating a strong connection and providing shear resistance to assure the joint’s exceptional quality.
By doing away with any drilling and furring on the second pour, construction time is substantially reduced while the joint’s strength is increased. As this is a permanent formwork system,which speeds up the construction process while saving labour.

In few days, workers whether they are qualified or not can be trained on the technology. Moreover, making structures from this formwork is less physically demanding than conventional ones. All of these things can help in dealing with the problem of labor shortage.
The panel is composed of two filtering grids made of rib lath reinforced by vertical stiffeners.The grids are connected by articulated rebar loops that fold for cost effective transport.
